Denim Pointe... Capturing Movements and Emotion

The Nila Claravall-Gonzalez School of Classical Ballet together with the Philippine Ballet theater staged a special performance at SM City Iloilo Cinema. The show is for the benefits of Yolanda victims. Ode of WIT and Dancepull also gave special number for the show.

I was asked to be one of the photographers to document this show. The task is not as simple as it look because flash photography is not allowed. I have to do with what is the available light and the limited space I have. It was a challenge to capture the motion without the blur in this kind of event. I think I have a few good shot but I'm happy to be able to capture the emotion presented by the artist.

Iloilo Fishing Port Complex Comes to Life at Night

Me and my friends couldn't resist to go back and visit the fishing port during its peak. So we went back a few days later and took some shots.

We also took time to practice steelwool photography. Our new friend Kristian demonstrated how to do it.

After taking photos, we were tired and hungry. We bought some fresh fish and squids and have it cooked for a fee at nearby Karinderia (make-shift street restaurant). You can have it grilled, cooked ala Adobo, ala Sinigang or just a simple fry. The food was fresh and good that we were all full after eating.
