My photo got published for the first time in a national print via Manila Bulletin's sunday magazine Panorama. A digital copy of the work can be accessed from http://www.mb.com.ph/scream-and-shout/, This is really unexpected. Thanks to Drei Peralta for facilitating this. Thank you so much.

Of Textures.... Of Patterns... and Uncommon Subject
This is my nth time to join a DPI photowalk. The route of this walk is new to me which made me excited to shoot. Passing by Muelle Loney towards Parola is a different world. Its full of textures, patterns and uncommon subject. Shooting abstract is something I love to do. All shot are taken using Sony Z1 Compact.

2014 Iloilo Photo Festival Photo Challenge and the Dragon Boat Race
This is my second year to join the Iloilo Photo Festival Photo Challenge. Participants are divided into two: Non-DSLR and the DSLR categories. A theme is given to the participants at the start of the challenge which they should interpret. This is a timed event so each task must be finished and submitted before the allotted time ends which is usually 2 hours. Participants race through the city to capture their interpretation and go back to the starting line and upload their photos without editing except in camera application.
I participated in the DSLR categories but I also took some mobile shots and I'm sharing it to you
FIRST THEME
A river with tides high and low
A boat that goes to and fro,
An avenue that welcomes with a "hello"
These makes up a sight, too awesome to forego.
Interpretation: Iloilo River
DSLR Shot
Mobile Camera Shot
SECOND THEME
Paint me a picture, a true testimony;
Of grandeur withstanding adversity
Of greatness manifesting stability
Of might and strength defying gravity.
Interpretation: Heritage Building
DSLR Shot
Mobile Camera Shot
THIRD THEME
A true and honest, a smile can greet
A friend, a stranger, whoever you meet
A way of life in a corner of a street
Under the sky, these things are concrete
Interpretation: Street Photography

THE DRAGON BOAT RACE
The photo challenge also coincided with the Dragon Boat Race. But this didn't hinder me to take photos of this sporting event. During the challenge, if time permits, we drop by the Muelle Loney area to take photos of the race.

The Sun and the Moon
The local news has been a buzzed of the coming of the Supermoon. An event where the Moon is at its closest distance to Earth. To witness this cosmo event, the photography gang decided to capture this celestial event. We went to Dumangas along the coastal road to find a suitable picturesque site to shoot. We ended up in a road side restaurant 1km before the Port of Dumangas.
While waiting for the moon to rise, the sun setting is just a great scene you can't avoid taking a few shots.
