A New Home for Homeless Girls

Ilonggos with kind hearts have come to build a home for homeless girls in Iloilo City. The edifice will house girls from the SOS Village in Zaraga while they are studying their college degrees in the city. This is also a step in preparing them to be self-reliant individuals in the future. The lot was donated by Mr. Pedro Velasco and family at the back of Tagbak Terminal in Jaro. An amount of 6.7 million was raised to fund the building of the structure. Architect Hisancha rendered free architectural design services for the project. Archbishop Angel Lagdameo together with the SOS President Bien Delgado and the benefactors of SOS led the groundbreaking ceremony. A thanksgiving dinner followed after at the St. John Paul II Hall, Archbishop's Palace.
