2014 Iloilo Photo Festival Photo Challenge and the Dragon Boat Race

This is my second year to join the Iloilo Photo Festival Photo Challenge. Participants are divided into two: Non-DSLR and the DSLR categories.  A theme is given to the participants at the start of the challenge which they should interpret. This is a timed event so each task must be finished and submitted before the allotted time ends which is usually 2 hours. Participants race through the city to capture their interpretation and go back to the starting line and upload their photos without editing except in camera application.

I participated in the DSLR categories but I also took some mobile shots and I'm sharing it to you

FIRST THEME

A river with tides high and low
A boat that goes to and fro,
An avenue that welcomes with a "hello"
These makes up a sight, too awesome to forego.

Interpretation: Iloilo River

SECOND THEME

Paint me a picture, a true testimony;
Of grandeur withstanding adversity
Of greatness manifesting stability
Of might and strength defying gravity.

Interpretation: Heritage Building

THIRD THEME

A true and honest, a smile can greet
A friend, a stranger, whoever you meet
A way of life in a corner of a street
Under the sky, these things are concrete

THE DRAGON BOAT RACE

The photo challenge also coincided with the Dragon Boat Race. But this didn't hinder me to take photos of this sporting event. During the challenge, if time permits, we drop by the Muelle Loney area to take photos of the race.
