Reminiscing Christmas 2: The Christmas of 1990

It was a black Christmas. Black because there was no power. A month before Typhoon Ruping ravaged Panay Island causing extensive blackout lasting for more than a month. We had a Christmas tree but there was no blinking Christmas lights. We only had a candle to brighten the night. But even darkness can't make the mood gloom, because a boy had his christmas gift and mom was safe home from the war in the Middle East.

Right now, as Ruby is having her onslaught, I pray to keep the families safe so they can share a happy christmas like we had 14 years ago. c"_,)
